About Me

*waves* Glad you decided to check out my little corner of the internet. I've been blogging for several years, but in a more "professional" mode as an author. I wanted to start this blog because, as of January 2017, I moved out on my own for the first time (yay!) and thought it would be fun to start a blog about everyday life rather than just business.

You see, I was one of those teenage girls who thought she'd be married no later than 25. Yeah . . . well, not exactly how life went. I'm nearly thirty now and still single. As in, I'll be curling up with a fuzzy throw blanket, my three cats, and a jar of Nutella to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic (or some other romantic movie) for Valentine's Day.

This is actually a pic from my 2013 single girl Valentine's day. :D
I always thought I'd move out as soon as I was married. Then, when I hit my mid-twenties, it began to sink in. I had to stop waiting for Prince Charming to come along to buy me a house and buy myself one. Or well, in this case, rent. So here I am, in my own (rented) house. No Prince Charming yet, but my three fur babies will do for now. You can read all about them by clicking "The Kitties" tab. ;)

And, yes, it's true. I consider myself a cataholic. If my landlady allowed it, I'd probably have another two cats. Someday I want a black kitty and a tuxedo kitty. I'd also love a Maine Coon. I just need to buy a house first. Basically, the more cats the better. Actually, if I had the time and resources, I'd start a cat rescue. Cats just make me happy.

  1. This is great, Jaye! I'm excited to follow along with this new blog of yours. Sounds like we're kindred spirits - if I don't get married, I'll come move in with you and we can definitely start an in-home cat rescue! I'm a catoholic too. <3
